Boundary line

Location

Durand Line

Boundary between India and Afghanistan. It was drawn up in 1896 by the then Foreign Secretary of (British)India Sir Henry Mortimer Durand. This line is approximately 2,640 kilometers (1,640.42 mile) long.

Hindenburg Line

Divides Germany and Poland. Germans retreated to this line in 1917 during World War I.

Inter-Entity Boundary Line(IEBL)

Divides Bosnia and Herzegovina into two entities, the Republika Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Line of Control 

Between India and Pakistan.

Maginot line

Between France and Germany. It was built by France on its eastern border during World War to prevent German invasion.

Marginal Line

It is 320 km long line of fortification on the Russia-Finland border drawn up by General Mannerheim.

Mason-Dixon Line

It is  line of demarcation between four states in the United State.

McMahon Line

Demarcates the frontier between India and China. The line was drawn up by Sir Henry McMahon. China did not recognize the McMahon line and crossed it in 1962.

Order-Neisse Line

The border between Poland and Germany, running along the Order and Neisse rivers, adopted at the Poland Conference (Aug 1945) after World War II.

Parallel north

The boundary line between Iraq and Iran.

Radcliffe Line

It was named after its architect, Sir Cyril Radcliffe, who as chairman of the Border Commissions demarcating the boundary between India and Pakistan and was announced on 17 August 1947.

Siegfried Line

The line of fortification drawn up by Germany on its border with France.

16th Parallel

The boundary line between Angola and Namibia

17th Parallel north

The line which defines the boundary between North Vietnam and south Vietnam established by the Geneva Accords of 1954 before the two were united in the year 1976  following  the surrender of the South Vietnamese government.

20th Parallel north

The boundary line between Libya and Sudan.

22nd Parallel north

The boundary line between Egypt and Sudan.

25th Parallel north

The boundary line between Mauritania  and Mali.

26th Parallel north

The boundary line between Western Sahara and Mauritania.

38th Parallel north

It is the parallel of latitude which separates North Korea and South Korea.

49th Parallel north

It is the boundary between USA and Canada.
